When it comes to good general health and resistance to disease, the strength of your immune system plays a crucial role in determining your vulnerability to simple colds, flus and a host of other more serious illnesses. So it just makes sense to keep your immune system strong. You may well wonder what control or input you might have to accomplish this important goal. You’ll be pleased to know that there are many natural immune system boosters in the plant world, that are both safe and effective. In addition, many of these herbs have antibiotic and antiviral components. Let’s look at a few.
One common herb that should have a permanent
place in your herbal cupboard is garlic. Clinical studies show that garlic is effective against 28 different pathogens, including streptococcus. The sheer scope of its germ killing is enough of a recommendation, but garlic is also endowed with serious abilities among the immune system boosters. Garlic both strengthens and optimizes immune system function.
Garlic has strongly antibiotic values for good health.
Lapacho, also known as Pau d’ Arco, is derived from the bark of a tree native to Peru. Lapacho is another of the terrific immune system boosters, which a “specialty” in killing viruses. When down with a cold or flu, lapacho should be a primary treatment for a quick recovery. Some herbalists claim lapacho to be such a powerful immune system stimulant, it inactivates the AIDS virus! Lapacho is also effective against a number of bacteria.
Echinacea root is well known among immune system boosters, both as a preventative measure and effective agent against ongoing illness. A powerful immune system stimulant, echinacea is also effective against a variety of fungi, bacteria and viruses. Herbalists generally concur that the variety echinacea augustifolia is superior in
strength.
All the information you need on Echinacea.
Myrrh, in an extract form, directly kills a variety of microbes, including fungi, bacteria and viruses that cause a range of infectious conditions. Myrrh acts as an immune system booster by increasing effectiveness of white blood cells in their attack upon the various microbes responsible for illness. If you want to know more about Myrrh go to Wiki’s for more indepth explanation about this herb.

Wild indigo, although lesser known, is a powerful agent among immune system boosters, enhancing immune system function. It has been used for hundreds of years for its antibiotic effects against many dangerous bacteria and viruses. Wild indigo has the unusual ability to prevent these microbes from multiplying, causing their death and your recovery.
There are immune system boosters which are effective in inhibiting the growth of viruses. Astragalus is one such herb, of particular use in cases of chronic bronchitis.
Last, but certainly not least among our short list of
immune system boosters, is the common herb thyme, always of help when dealing with infection. Try this simple experiment. Put a tablespoon of thyme in a jar and cover with boiling water. Close the jar and leave on a counter. After many months, you’ll see not a single speck of mold or growth in that jar! Thyme is cultivated as a herb but was also used in the ancient Greek times in embalming.
Always consult your doctor before using herbs,as some may interact unfavorably with other medications or conditions.
Stress Relieving Advice

Life can be rough. The day to day bouts with work, family and routines can really start to wear you down. Something known as stress tends to build in different areas of our body. This can in-turn make us grouchy, irritable, tired and even sore. You’ve probably suffered with a few muscles aches and headaches from stress in the past. We all do. Whether we’d like to believe it or not, it happens to the best of us. The trick is in the stress relieving method. Are you relieving or dealing with your stress? If you’re not, it’s only going to get worse.
Stress is caused by many daily things that happens in our life but the thing to remember is that Stress can be controlled by relaxation techniques
Last night my upper back, just between my shoulder blade and spine was throbbing. N
ow this could be due to and injury or pulled muscle, but I know it’s not. It’s definitely nothing new for me. I have had that same soreness on and off for years. It is where stress builds. You may encounter something similar. This is a common area to acquire pains if you’re hacking away on a keyboard all day long. Those upper-back and shoulder areas are very vulnerable. Now, what do I do as far as stress relieving goes? After all, I can’t just deal with the pains for a whole week until they’re gone. I’m sick of that. This is why I take a different route and choose to go to a massage therapist. She knows all about muscle aches and stress relieving. Her gentle hands knead those knots right out of my back muscles. This then speeds along the healing process and in a short time, I’m back to my old self again. If you’ve never tried a massage for stress relieving, I highly recommend it. A massage not only relieves stress but also gives you mind some balance where you can cope with your daily routine in a better mood.
What about acupuncture? This is another great route to stress relief. One thing I will encourage is that you go to a reputable place for this therapy. It’s never prudent to try acupuncture on yourself if you don’t know what you’re doing. This therapy consists of needles penetrating your flesh. Therefore it’s to be left to the professionals. I personally have heard wonderful things about acupuncture and its benefits concerning stress relieving and allergies. And finally, don’t forget good old-fashioned R&R. We all need plenty of rest and downtime if we expect to avoid the stress monster. Acupuncture is not for everyone but if you have tried all other methods and can’t get any relief that I suggest you try this.
There are other ways to deal with your stress. Find stress relieving exercises that will help you daily. Exercising daily can help you tremendously. Here are some suggestions: walk, jog, yoga, pilates, weights, swim. You can custom plan your exercising program or go to a profession and get the advice you need.
Did you know that acupuncture is an ancient Chinese technique involving the insertion of fine needles just under the skin in specific locations in order to relieve pain and treat a wide variety of complaints.
Here are some ideas about stress relieving activities: Watch sail boats in the bay,
go on a picinic, go watch the sunset or sunrise, plant flowers in your garden, have a long leisure lunch with your best friend, go see a funny late afternoon movie, get a pedicure, watch an old movie at home that makes you laugh etc….
Relaxation Techniques

There are plenty of sources of stress in the world today. As the old saying goes, “there’s no need to look for trouble, because trouble will find you all on its own”. All of us have troubles and worries, deadlines to meet, work issues, home issues, children issues and busy schedules. Along with all these stresses, few of us even have time to kick back and relax. Do you suffer from anxiety? Do you long for ways to ease your anxious moods and relax for just a little while?

There are a number of relaxation techniques that take little time and are highly effective. Some may be done anywhere, even at work.
When your feeling distraught, for whatever reason, your body takes the “fight or flight” stance, causing a rush of adrenalin that induces an increased heart rate and shallow breathing. Correct breathing is key to successful relaxation techniques.
Breathing exercises are quite effective, bringing quick results when you find yourself suddenly anxious. Some people are especially prone to anxiety attacks, which can occur for no apparent reason. Even if you’re aware of the cause, anxiety attacks are unpleasant and may cause heart palpitations and a sensation of tightening in the throat, sometimes to the point of making it difficult to swallow.
The old-fashioned remedy of breathing slowly into a paper bag works amazingly well to relax you and restore proper breathing. Another version of this relaxation technique involves taking slow deep breaths. At first you may find you need to force yourself to breathe slowly, but persist and you’ll soon be back to normal.
Among other relaxation techniques are those classified as meditation. All major religions have a form of meditation that followers may use to commune with their creator. Examples of this discipline include Christian, Sufi, Hindu and Kaballah meditation. All meditative disciplines are excellent relaxation techniques when practiced regularly, bringing a sense of comfort and overall well being. Prayers may also serve you as effective relaxation techniques.
Plain old physical exercise is yet another way to relax. Choose an activity you enjoy and set aside a little time each day, preferably at the same time of day, to engage in this activity. Whether you’re walking, bicycling, swimming, gardening, mountain climbing or just doing a half hour workout,

you will find that physical exercise to be an outstanding form of available relaxation techniques.
Pilates Exercise
The Pilates exercise program is one of the best known and popular exercise programs in the United States today, enjoying a huge following of people in a range of ages. The Pilates method was developed in the 1920’s by a man named Joseph Pilates.
His exercise method was originally used to physically rehabilitate prisoners of war, with startling success. Further studies showed that his methods benefited anyone with the desire of attaining a fit body. Athletes and dancers, more prone to injuries of the body, find these exercises enabling them to stay fit without stressing injured knees or arthritic conditions.
Only a few short years ago, the Pilates exercise program was practiced by a select few of continuing generations of Pilates devotees. When ergonomics met science in the forum of exercise programs, there was an explosion in the popularity of the program. Post-pregnancy Moms, seniors, athletes, dancers, ordinary fitness seekers and physical therapy patients find the Pilates exercise program to be highly adaptable to their individual needs.

What distinguishes the Pilates exercise program is its emphasis on an integrated balance of “core strength”, flexibility, suppleness of muscle tissue, and a mental awareness of body movement. People participating in a Pilates exercise program typically gain a highly toned body, fluid in movement, yet strong, with a leaner appearance.
If you join a Pilates exercise program, you’ll be taught the six principles of Pilates’ methodology. These six principles are centering, control, flow, precision, concentration and breathing. Pilates exercise programs echo similar disciplines, such as yoga and tai-chi in slow controlled movements, yielding big results. Unlike the old gym class exercise programs requiring strenuous workouts and exhausting repetitions, the Pilates exercise program relies on quality of movement rather than repetition. Surprisingly, less expenditure of effort on the participants’ part often results in fantastic results in a much shorter time frame.
There are many methods of getting a pilates exercise routine by buying a book or dvd.

-
Pilates exercise video,
-
Pilates ball exercise information,
-
Pilates exercise instructions,

-

The centerpiece of any Pilates program is that of core strength. Core strength development focuses on the abdomen. Interestingly, there is a correlation between the Pilates concept and that of the chakras of yoga and meditative disciplines. If the core strength of your body is solid, the rest follows. Core strength, as defined by Pilates, enables your body to relieve tension, resulting in free, strong and graceful motions with little expenditure of effort.

Cosmetics

Welcome to the world of variety and confusion. Current markets offer such a vast selection of products, you will have some difficulty weeding through it all. Cosmetics are available in lots of places;the local Department Store, Drug Stores, Beauty Supply Stores, Health Food Stores, Discount Stores, Spas, Plastic Surgeons office, Dermatologists and Specialty Stores. Some of the most popular brands are Lancôme, Clinique, Este Lauder, Guerlain, Clarins, Clinique, Channel, Dior, Mac, Bobbie Brown, Prescriptive, MaxFactor, L’Oreal, Wei East, Mineral products, Avon, Decleor, Yonka, Prevonia and so many more.
It will be very confusing to you if you don’t know what you are looking for. Some people search for cosmetics skin care products by price. If you have a price range, this can certainly narrow the spectrum a bit. Do you know what you’re searching for? But in to days world where information is so easily available through the internet and advertisements you can do your own research and decide what you are looking for.
I’ve watched my wife go through numerous cosmetics and skin care lines over the past 10 years. One thing I can say for certain is just because she like a skin care regimen from one company, doesn’t mean she likes their make-up. Apparently the cosmetics skin care business is a diverse one with plenty of perks and drawbacks. At this point she raves on and on about specific Lancôme skin care products like the cleansers and toners, but she uses an eye cream and pore minimizing gel from Clinique. I am speechless at all the products sitting on her vanity. How can she even sort through all of these cosmetics skin care products? And does she have to use every single one of them every single day? I don’t even bother to ask. Make-up and skin care products aren’t exactly my cup of tea.
One way to simplify your search through the mad jungle of cosmetics skin care lines and make-up is by finding out your skin type, if you’re allergic to anything and what is it you are trying to accomplish. Furthermore, if you do not want to visit the cosmetic counters at all there are plenty of skin care products and simple make-up brands in the drugstores. As I’m sure you already know, they will cost you quite a bit less that the products sold by snobby women wearing pounds of flashy make-up. A drugstore brand that comes highly recommended is Neutrogena and L’Oreal. Whatever cosmetics skin care products you choose, just be sure their treating your face with the utmost respect, or you’re simply wasting your hard-earned dollars. There are too many to choose from to settle for less than great.
Closet Storage System

Having a good closet storage system can really be a lifesaver, most women will know what I mean. I am not an interior design, but one of the things that I am asked most frequently by my friends is how to best assemble closet organizer systems. Friends constantly want me to give them ideas of building modular organization systems to help them sort out the odds and ends that they own and to properly keep it organized. If you are not experienced with closet storage systems, they can be a nightmare to put together, especially if you are in a house with limited room and space. There is just no way that
everyone can figure out closet storage systems without help – that is where I advise them to get some professional help from someone in the business to help them get organized.
The biggest trick with closet storage systems is to think about exactly what you need to store ahead of time. You must have a plan on how much space you need for clothes and how much you need for shoes etc. You can build beautiful closet storage systems that serve no useful purpose at all if you do not do it this way. The trick with closet storage systems is that every space should have a purpose and every item should have a place where it goes. Otherwise, it will just turn into a hectic and chaotic mess, with no type of closet organization system at all. The whole purpose of closet storage systems is to resolve your mess, where you can find what you want in no time at all and get a clean, neat and organized system. That is, after all, what closet storage systems are for.
There are all kinds of closet storage systems that are available on the market today, for different people with different needs. It is important to get a feel for just what you want to be doing with yours. For example, some closet storage systems are made all of cloth, and are best for keeping clothing sorted and hanging in place. Some are made out of rugged wooden boxes to store items out of season, but you need a lot of space to store the boxes. But then again, that is just my opinion. Other people would most likely see the matter differently. That is the beauty of organization – for every person there is a different way to go about organizing, but no way is wrong or right in and of itself.
Beauty Make Up Issues

No matter what people say as opposition to beauty make up that makes girls and women look prettier, you cannot separate beauty and makeup because they run hand in hand. Beauty make up is after all–to make you look better giving your skin a flawless look, color on your cheeks and definition of your eyes and lips. I have been using beauty make up since the age of 15, and will never give it up because I am very fond of my beauty make up.

I am very good with beauty skin care products, in fact, most people who know me assume that I was born with the knowledge. I personally believe that skin care products will enhance your beauty make up because if you have healthy skin then your make up will become a compliment to your skin. My friends also know that I never leave the house without my basic beauty make up, depending on where I am going.
Nevertheless, when I first started, I was as bad as most people , but as the years went by I paid attention of what is right and what is too much. My mother never wore make up except for a little face powder and lipstick so I had to learn what I know on my own. I paid attention to people and did a lot of people watching and deciding what I like about the beauty make up and what I didn’t like and would never do.
The art of applying beauty make up actually was more difficult for me to learn than it is for many young girls and women. It took me years and years to get it right. Either I would use too much or too little, either the beauty make up would be too dark, too light or leave my face looking dull and shallow. I could never get my eyeliner pencil just right because I was too afraid of poking an eye out, so I would draw outlines that were far too big. My eye shadow application was frightening and too intense. But I finally learned that less was better than having too much make up. I tried avoiding looking like a clown.
It wasn’t until I was a grown woman that I really learned how to put on beauty make up correctly and effectively. I started modeling and had to attend make up courses and it is where I learned so much about the application, the techniques and the end results of applying beauty make up correctly. I actually wore very little beauty make up during the day, only a sun block while at the gym, playing tennis or running and only applied make up at night, or if I was going somewhere special.
Make up at times during my life did not seem like a sophisticated thing for girls or young ladies to wear. In Europe women tend to concentrate more on the condition of their skin by getting facials and wear very little beauty make up. But when I came to America I noticed that all of the really interesting women – those in politics, models, actresses, musicians, tv personalities, soap opera stars, stand up comedians etc– wore makeup on their faces and looked radiant and so well put together. I wanted to be like them, and so I started to learn about beauty make up, I bought magazines, books about how to apply make up and its amazing how much information is available to you if you search for it.

Today things are much easier and we all learning about what is good for our skin and what we should not do if we want to maintain a healthy skin. I personally believe that having healthy skin is very important and actually helps with your overall finish beauty application. Any unhealthy skin leave your beauty make up looking awful and you won’t accomplish that finished look of perfection.
A good thing that I found is that if you don’t know how to apply your make up all you need to do is go to the department stores in your area and get a free makeup lessons with a purchase of lipstick, eyeliner or eyebrow pencil. You definitely can gain some insights and techniques that you may be able to use on yourself. The trick of applying make up is in the blending of your application.
I am glad I gained the knowledge of applying my beauty make up correctly and affectively, or I might have still struggled with the idea of not knowing what I was doing.
Ancestry Searches

Who is your ancestry? Are you interesting in searching for your ancestry?
You have to start by looking for clues to your family tree, you may use the internet to find leads and information. It has become easier than ever to find out where your family comes from, and who your great, great grandfather might have been. If you do a deep family ancestry search, you can find names, dates, occupations, locations, and many other clues that can lead you in the right direction. There is a lot of information online, but you do have to know how to find it.
When I first started doing ancestry searches online, I found more information than I bargained for. I was surprised at how many things I found that related to my family in particular. The trick is to figure out which is your family and which is not, but after you start getting a few leads you can narrow down your ancestry searches. You may start with broad searches, but once you get names and locations, you can narrow them down to get more relevant information and discover your family ancestry.
Some of the most effective ancestry searches happen when you have a name or perhaps a date to go with. If you know a town or a country, you can enter that information into a search with the name go trace your ancestry and you might get more accurate findings. The only problem with some ancestry searches is that they may take you to a site that has a fee. If you aren’t signed up and haven’t paid for access to that site, you won’t be able to view the information. Some of these sites have some information for free ancestry searches even if it is a pay site, but you won’t know until you click the link.
A big part of your family ancestry searches will be getting information from family members who might have your family history and that is all you would need to do your search. There are a few really good genealogy message boards out there, and if you post what you need, you might get lucky and someone might wend you an answer to your question. You can also search through a message board dedicated to your family name, and that may also be how you find the lead or break you have been looking for. It’s also a good idea to repeat your ancestry searches every few months because new information is being added to the Internet each day, and you may be surprised in finding what you need at any time. You may even want to note down what searches worked the best for you so that you can repeat those in the future.
The definition of a Family history is the study of multiple generations of people who appear to be related. The objective is to exhaustively document the effects of kinship. The audience comprises as many present or future family members as may be curious about this.
You can also get professional help to do a Genealogy study on your family if you do not have the time and patience. Or ask a member of your family who has the time and interest to help you in getting this family history together, you will have fun doing this.
Security Alarm Systems

Let me tell you a story. I was relaxing one night in my home in Texas, it was the fall of 2002. I was lounging on the couch, watching “Eyes Wide Shut” after a long day of hard work. It was around 2:30 in the morning when I heard a noise just as I was about to fall asleep. I paused the TV, got up from the couch, and listened. At first there was a dead silence, but then I heard this noise again. It was coming from the front door and I could now hear it clearly and there was no doubt that there was someone outside my door. I shuffled quickly and silently to the front door and spotted the doorknob rattling and I immediately checked the lock and deadbolt and they were both secure. Then I abruptly turned the light switch to the front porch and as I opened the blinds I saw someone take off into the dark of night on foot. WOW, that was an eerie experience and I will never forget it. What if I had been asleep? Would the person at the door have found a way inside my home? It’s impossible to tell at this point. This turned me onto modern alarm systems.
There are plenty of reasons to secure your home at all times. Certainly the most important of these is your personal and family’s safety. As scary as this may be to ponder, our homes are where we spend a large portion of our lives. It’s imperative to know that we’re safe and secure inside of them. If you haven’t already, it’s time to consider a quality alarm systems. Now this doesn’t mean that you’ll have to spend your life’s savings or get a second job.
There are numerous effective alarm systems on the market today that won’t cost you a pretty penny. If you’re looking for a monitored security system with first rate response, then you may want to consider Brink’s or ADT. Both have great reputations for keeping homes and businesses secured. Then again, you may want to simply install your own alarm systems yourself. This can be done with some basic instructions. Start with online security products on websites like Amazon.com. Whether you prefer silent alarms that send a 911 signal to authorities, or a set of surveillance cameras and sensor alarms, you’re certainly in luck. Personally I went with the surveillance system and outdoor sensor devices. This way an alarm chimes inside my home if someone is even on my property. I like the heads-up. Plus, all outdoor activity is caught on camera.
Never disregard good old-fashioned dead bolts. All entrances to your home should have them. Although quality alarm systems are ideal, you want your home to do a bit more than make loud noises. Keep the bad element from ever getting in. Always secure all your doors and windows before retiring for the night and turn the alarm/security system on.

everyone can figure out closet storage systems without help – that is where I advise them to get some professional help from someone in the business to help them get
