It is a fact: ask almost any woman what her favorite thing to shop for is, and she won’t say groceries. She’s inclined to say shopping and shoe shopping tops the list of favored shopping trips. Women gravitate
towards shoes. Shoes are often the closest we’re ever going to get to wearing works of art. Unlike other articles of clothing, shoes have zillions of styles from which to choose. There is a shoe cut, height and color to perfectly match any outfit in your wardrobe. And fortunately for women we have so many shoes to choose from to match almost every outfit we have in our closet.
Its always wise to shop for shoes when they are on sale. You save so much more and can afford more than one pair of shoes. A women has to purchase shoes for work, evening, formal, casual, sports, tennis shoes, running/walking shoes. Low heels, flats, medium heels or high heels. Open toe, closed toe, sling back, pumps, sandals etc.
However, like all shopping, shoe shopping can be more tiring then you might expect. Snobby sales people, finding help, trouble finding the right size, wondering whether or not that is really a good pair of shoes – it’s enough to drive any woman crazy. Luckily, there are some hints and tips to make your shoe excursions just a little less of a chore.
Before a serious shoe shopping expedition, you need a plan. First, decide which stores you’re going to visit. If you’re pressed for time, narrow down the stores to the ones with the best quality at the lowest prices. Also what kind of shoe are you looking for. Is it for a special outfit or not?.

Now is the time that you must turn into a tough shoe-buying machine. If you’re going into a shoe boutique, you’ll in most cases find some very snobby sales people. They might insist that the shoe simply does not look good on your unworthy foot, or just does not look right for the outfit you have in mind.
Once you’ve battled your way through the clerks, you can actually try on a pair of shoes. If you know your shoe size, don’t buy a pair of shoes before you’ve tried them on. Slip them on, and then walk around the store for a little bit. The shoes should be reasonably comfortable, not pinch, feet cramped or that the leather is too stiff.
Shoe shopping can be absolutely draining, but the time spent will pay off in the end, have fun looking for a pair of shoes. Be sure you aren’t exploring uncharted territory. Do not let the sales person intimidate you. Walk around for a short time in your possible new shoe to determine the comfort and durability of the shoe in question.

There is nothing wrong in buying a crazy pair of shoes once in a while if you feel so incllined , try to forget all the rules if you so desire, and if you feel confidental that this shoe will be fun to wear, buy it, what have you got to loose. As a shoes collector I have enough shoes for everyone I know. I collect them and after 40 years my shoes are still like new and I love them all. The trick I have is that I don’t wear the same shoes all the time. I rotate my shoes and make sure at least once a year I have tried on that shoe and worn it for half a day and in some cases the whole day. When I don’t like a shoe for a reason that they are uncomfortable, or too outdated and I know I will never wear that shoe again, I get rid of them and replace them with another. When there is a great sale I buy several at a time and try to get new shoes that does resemble any shoe in my closet. But when I find shoes I just love and I am crazy about the fit and the comfort I buy several in the same style but different color.
Collecting Shoes is a lot of fun and never throw them away if they are in good condition and comfortable because the style always comes back It always amazes me that I have such a great collection.
