Have your heard of One 30 Fitness previously known as Isofitness? You need to know about this 30-minute revolution.

Recently I ran into a friend who I had not seen over 1 year. And she complimented me that I looked slim, fit and younger. She wanted to know all about my work-out schedule.

I told her that I discovered the fastest and easiest way to work out at “One 30 Fitness.”

I explained that for years I went to a Health Spa and worked on weights 3 times a week, aerobic 5 days a week, played tennis 3 times a week, 2-one hour classes of yoga and ran everyday for 3 miles but I eventually felt burnt out and did not enjoy what I was doing and I just stopped doing all the above activities.

I had cancer five years ago and felt pretty awful and I was not exercising at all except dancing ballroom. 34927804 Then about 1 year and a half ago I was given a free 1 hour session from a client ” One 30 Fitness”. I was not certain when I read to brochure that I would go but I was intrigued that if I worked out 30-minutes a week I could get in shape and see the results quickly.

So after a few weeks I made my first appointment and I was so impressed and in awe of what I was doing. I could not believe that this program would work for me. I started off with a consultation one on one with a trainer. My personal history about my health, eating habits, work out etc…. I was given advice that to get the results I wanted I should attend my training session once a week, eat healthy, take vitamins, cut down on fat in take, drink water and take a protein drink once a day.

The session on the machine lasted 20 minutes, was very intense and hard but I knew that I could last 20 minutes . The next day I hurt and felt my muscles doing things I had not felt in a while and the day after I walked 3 miles and felt wonderful. Since then I only do “One 30 Fitness” and walk. I went from a size 14 to size 8 pants within 8 months. I still work out at “One 30 Fitness” and I look forward to my next appointment.

“One 30 Fitness” offers a private studio designed to minimize distractions and outside stress…no music and no pictures on the walls to distract you. You work out one on one with your personal trainer, who coaches you through your program. He makes sure that you close your eyes and concentrate on each muscle isolation, breath properly and keep your correct posture during each movement.

This program improves your strength and physical fitness and thus slows your aging process. By joining “One 30 Fitness” I started putting my life back on track. I feel better, stronger, my posture has improved, my headaches diminished and I feel good. I am still working on new goals.

If you call “One 30 Fitness” at 281-419-3900 in The Woodlands, Texas and use my name “MARIE-SYLVIE” you will receive a free session and enjoy the experience. It definitely makes sense to anyone who is serious about their health and wellness.

What is Alli?

There has been a lot of hype about Alli. But I was not impressed. I can’t figure out what the hype is all about.

This is what I know about Alli.

  • It is the first diet pill approved by the FDA.
  • Its not an answer to any ones weight problems.
  • Not a miracle cure.

ALLI is a 60mg orlistat capsule. It work with you and not for you. Alli blocks a 25% of fat you eat and passes the rest it of the fat out of your body. You may experience some side effects such as: Gas, frequent stool movements and an oily discharge.

  • For Alli to work you first have to adopt healthy eating habits, reducing calorie intake with a low-fat diet.
  • You should exercise daily, work hard and be willing to stick to your program.

Alli works with your digestive system not in your brain or heart, it will not cause jitters, sleeplessness or a racing heart.

People with certain health conditions or taking prescription medications should runner consult with their doctor first.

Alli is a diet aid only, without your commitment it will not work.

As far as I am concerned there are so many other pills that are better than Alli.

Permanent Make-up is the micro-implantation of color into the upper layer of the skin.
It is also artistically applied to enhance your natural appearance. You will look your best and no one will suspect that you have had a permanent make up application but bare in in mindthat this can only be achieved if it is done correctly.

Permanent Make-up is a personal decision that only you can make. This information can help you make an informed decision after weighing the benefits, learning about the procedure and the natural healing process.

Permanent make-up (also known as micropigmentation, cosmetic tattooing, and intradermal pigmentation) is a method of applying natural or synthetic pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. This technique has been medically developed and specifically designed for safe, permanent application. Permanent make-up is used for a variety of permanent make-up enhancements, such as permanent eyebrows, eyeliner, lip liner and lip color. This technique can also be used to treat stretch marks, scars and areolasgirl pretty

Beneficial for those clients who:

  • Are active and want to save time
  • Have poor eyesight
  • Have allergies to make-up
  • Are physically incapable of applying makeup
  • Wish to correct asymmetrical facial features
  • Desire freedom from make-up

Eyebrows:

Properly shaped eyebrows will enhance your face shape and frame your eyes without dominating yourpermanent eyes features. Multi-colored hair strokes can be blended for a soft, natural look. How great it will be not to worry about sweating or wiping your brows off. You will ever have to match them again.

Eyeliner:

Soft color can be applied as an enhancement or a thicker defined line for a more dramatic effect. Dipermanent eyes 6 mension is created by implanting more color to the outer edges and tapering to the middle of the eye. A smoky eye shadow look can also be an alternative. No more runny, smudgy eyeliner. Great answer for contact wearers, too.

Lips:

Size, shape and color can be altered. Accentuate the outer lip liner and blend color to the middle of the lips for a natural look. Correct a crooked lip line or just add definition.lips5

Minor swelling can be expected and sometimes blistering can occur.
Please follow the procedure given and explained to you by your operator, and review all the questions and answers before the procedure.

The following is what you can expect before, during and after your permanent make up procedure:

Consultation:
Your expectations will be discussed. Communication is clear on what the end result will look like. A guideline is created with conventional make-up, but…the final decision is yours.

Pre-Procedure Care and Consideration:

  • Avoid caffeine prior to procedure. Caffeine is a stimulant.
  • Getting a procedure done during your period can make you hyper-sensitive.
  • Zovarix (a prescription drug) or L-lysine (over the counter) is recommended if you have a history of cold sores.
  • Start taking Lysine 1 week prior to lip procedure.
  • Check with your physician prior to a procedure if you have: severe diabetes, AIDS, hepatitis, or heart problems.

Pigmentation Application:

A custom pigment is mixed to compliment your special coloring or a close match of color to your favorite eye pencil or eyeliner. A topical anesthetic is applied to the treatment area. The permanent make-up specialist implants pigment using sterilized disposable needles. Strict sanitation and sterilization guidelines are followed. The pigments used are formulated specifically for permanent cosmetic use. The comfort level varies from client to client. Most clients report the feeling of vibration and anxiety rather than discomfort. Addition anesthetic is advisable if desired and will be applied during the process of applying the pigmentation.

Post-Procedure Care and Consideration:

  • Do not swim or take a steam shower until you are healed. A shower is recommended over a bath.
  • Touch the treated area only with clean hands.
  • No makeup until area is healed.
  • Do not pick, scrub or scratch treated area
  • Follow any additional directions from your technician

The Healing Process :

The area treated will look much darker and more defined than the final results. Be patient. It will look much softer in 5-6 days depending on how fast your skin heals. Most clients will go to work the next day. Tenderness is expected, but slight bruising and irritation may sometimes occur.

Eyebrows: Brows will be tender for 1-2 days, appear dark in 5-6 days, then dramatically soften up to 50%. Only use the ointments recommended by your technician.

Eyeliner: Expect the eye to be tender for l1-2 days. You may do the following if this area is swollen after the procedure.
A. Wet a Lipton tea bay in cold water and apply for at least 10 minutes.
B. Apply an ice pack or Apply bag of frozen peas.

Lip color: This area will take longest to heal. The color will be extremely bright for 7-8 days then fade to no color and reappear after 3-6 weeks. Your lips will look and feel swollen and blistering may occur in some cases.

FOLLOW ANY ADDITIONAL ADVICE FROM YOUR TECHNICIAN.
Make an adjustment appointment after the healing process if there is anything you would like to add. A premature touch-up can result in scaring, tenderness and inaccurate color. Color cannot be adjusted until it has healed.

Non Surgical Face Lift Treatment

JUST WHAT IS A NON-SURGICAL FACELIFT?

  • Non-surgical facelift is a comprehensive program of techniques developed by medical science used inface lift 2 advanced physiotherapeutic and adapted for esthetics.
  • A system of interrelated therapies whereby the muscles and connective tissues of the face, chin and neck are strengthened and tightened.
  • Stimulation of skin tissues to dramatically improve elasticity and general condition
  • An ongoing maintenance program to keep things firm and wrinkles at bay

What it is not:

  • A temporary “skin tightener” out of a tube or bottle
  • A temporary “skin pumper” as found in many cosmetic products promising rejuvenation
  • A chemical peel or abrasive scrub
  • A random electrical “facial toning” as offered by some cosmetologists
  • Acupuncture, acupressure or laserface lift 1

Why does the skin wrinkle and sag?
As we age, the underlying muscles become elastic and unable to support the skin and tissue attached to them. In addition, the skins loses it ability to rengenerate new tissue and its ability to moisturized itself. Fluid build-up, wrinkles and sagging are the end results to this process.

How does this Micro-Lift Unit Work?
Micro-Lift is an electric stimulation apparatus that provides muscular and cutaneous revitalization of the face, neck and breasts. This internationally recognized method uses a highly sophisticated, but easy-to-use technique. The apparatus emits a pulsed galvanic micro-current that provides a gentle lifting treatment to the face, breasts and neckline area. Specific techniques are used to lift muscles and put them back where they belong.face lift 4

How soon will I get results?
This depends upon your age and condition when you first begin treatment. It is recommended that the client come in for an initial series of 2-3 treatments w week for 5-6 weeks. This will re-tone the muscles and repair the skin. After the initial series, most clients come in once every month for a maintenance treatment to keep everything tight and healthy.

What is a Treatment like?
It is painless. Treatments take approximately 25 minutes. They are pleasant and relaxing. A mask after treatment is recommended. Total time is 1 hour and 15 minutes. A very mild sensation of stimulation is felt.

Can this type of Treatment be used in conjunction with cosmetic surgery?
INDEED… with a surgical face lift, the muscles and skin are cut and stretched. The problem with this is that, within a few years, muscles and skin will again begin to sag. Micro-Lift can be used to enhance and/or maintain surgical procedures, providing that the area has completely healed.

Treatment schedule: Corrective treatment-for optimum results: a series of treatments-minimum of 10 treatments is recommended.
Schedule 2-3 visits per week
The number of treatments required is related to the clients age, state of his/her skin, his/her eating habits, his/her lifestyle and his/her daily skin habits.

Maintenance Treatment: To maintain results and prevent future deterioration, the client should receive one(1)treatment every month or every three(3) weeks.

Preventive Care: High recommended as a preventive treatment once a month.

A Quick Lift for Special Occasions: Before an important event, a treatment can be performed three(3) times in a single week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Information about Varicose Veins

September 10, 2007 by info
Filed under Advice for Women, Health issues, Uncategorized

Many theories exist for why varicose veins occur, but the consensus is that defective/damaged valves within the veins are to blame. Valves in our body prevent backward flow of blood within the vein, they keep blood in the vein moving towards the heart. Why the valves stop working is up for debate. The best way to describe varicose veins is to say that the veins are enlarged and twisted, so close to the surface of the skin, that bulge enough to be very visible and ugly.

Varicose veins can be visible on the front or back of the leg, thighs and lower legs, pelvis and on other parts of the body. legs 3

There are two types of veins, the superficial veins and the deep veins. The superficial veins are found about an inch beneath the skin and are often visible to the naked eye. Deep veins are below the superficial veins and only viisble with the aid of ultra sound ,MRI or other diagnostics.

Varicose veins if left untreated, can lead to skin changes in the lower legs and can be seen as discoloration such as red or bruised looking area usually from the lower calf to the foot. The skin can become thick and tight.

Here are some factors that cause and aggravtate varicose veins:

  • Pregnancy is associated with an increase in blood volume. Also, added pressure on the veins in the legs by the weight of the growing uterus and the relaxation effects of the hormones estrogen and progesterone on the vein walls contribute to the development of varicose veins during pregnancy.
  • Prolonged standing
  • Obesity or distended belly
  • Straining: Chronic constipation, urinary retention from an enlarged prostate, chronic cough, or any other conditions that cause you to strain for prolonged periods of time.
  • Prior surgery or trauma to the leg: These conditions interrupt the normal blood flow channels.

Varicose veins are often painful, they often itch and scratching them can cause ulcers which will become a problem. They can be blue or purplish in color and can cause some uncomfortable symptoms such as:

  • *ankle swelling
  • *leg heaviness and aching
  • *fatigue
  • *leg cramps
  • *skin discoloration (brownshih blue shiny skin around the vein)
  • *bleeding

*ulceration

*dermatitis skin condition

*ulcers

Non-Surgical Treatments:

Some recommend treatments that are non-surgical treatments and less painful but time consuming are as follows:

Elevate the legs whenever possible

Regular exercise daily

Wearing compression stockings with a presssure of 30-40 mmHg. These can be purchased from a Medical Supply store.

Anti-inglammatory medical such as ibuprofen or aspirins

Dietary supplements can be helpful and can be purchase from a health food store. It will not cure the problem but will help long term as a preventive solution.

Use Vitamin A cream or serum or Aloe K Plus Accelerator daily

Surgical Treatments:

Endovenous laser and radio frequency ablation require specialized training for doctors and expensive equipment. Doctors must use ultrasound during the procedure to see what they are doing. Follow-up treatment to smaller branch varicose veins is often needed in the weeks after the initial procedure. Some practitioners also perform traditional surgery at the time of endovenous treatment. This treatment usually requires some down time.

Relieve Stress Ways

Everyone I know gets over-stressed now and then. Its a natural response under certain conditions. The problem occurs when our stress is getting out of hand and interfering with our lifestyles.

Too much stress can cause the following problems: High Blood Pressure, Colds and Flu, Diabetes, Damaged Relationships, General Bad Health and the list goes on and on.

Everyone should strive to control our stress level by taking the natural approach first before going on meds.

I would begin by doing the following:

Exercise: It may be difficult to begin an exercise program exercise2but once you start, it will become easier and you will get the results you want. Exercise does help blow off steam and gets rid of excess stress, you don’t need to spend hours at a gym to gain the benefits of exercise; 10 -minute walk can decrease anxiety. Exercise clears your mind and rturns the body to a more healthful state. You must of course first talk to your physician.

Relax: It is so hard to relax when you are under stress. Try taking a deep breath slowly. As you breath out picture all the stress leaving your body. You can also find that doing relaxation techniques on a regular basis when you are not stressed out will be very beneficial. Practice makes perfect.meditation 3

Learn relaxation techniques: Meditation, Yoga, Bio-feedback, listen to soothing music, pray, join a support network group. Look deep into what causes your stress. You may not know what is inducing your stress. Try to understand where the source is coming from, if possible. Write a journal. Once you understand what is causing your stress you can try to modify these problem areas and you can substantially reduce them.

Have a Posititve Attitude: Always look on the bright side of things in llife. Don’t think about what may be wrong instead Ttke positive steps to improve yourself, your business and your spirit. Find methods to enhance your routine activities. At the end of the day understand that you have done all you can to maintain a healthy outlook on life. Always relax and enjoy your evening either by yourself, friends or family.

Nutrition: A healthy diet with proper nutrition is one key tnutriton 3o balancing your physical, mental and emotionaly health. Fast foods is not a good choice of nutrition. You need to consume unprocessed food as much as possible. Try an eat as much Organic products as possible. Lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. raw if possible is best for you. Drink plenty of water.

Get Enough Rest: Getting enough sleep at night is crucial rest 1to controlling your stress levels. Try to relax the best you can in the evening. Exercise early in the morning so that you are not wound up at night. Have a bath, listen to soothing, pleasant music to help you relax.

Call a Friend: Things always seem better after you talk to a good friend. Friendship is as good for your health as it is for your spirit. Having good friendships helps lower blood pressure, relieves anxiety , and can even help you live longer.

Reduce Caffeine Intake: Drinking 4 to 5 cups of coffee every morning does not more than open your eyes. The caffeine raises your blood pressure and increases secretion of adrenaline, a stress hormone. Slowly taper off caffeine by drinking a cup of decaf or herbal tea.

Share a Laugh: Whether its a giggle or an all-out belly-busrting whoop, laughter makes life a lot easier to deal with. Try and look at the humorous side of life, this shifts your thinking away from any stressful situation. Laughter initiates the release of beta-endorphins, the same natural relaxants that are released during exercise. Endorphins make you feel good and protect the immune system by decreasing cortisol, an immune system suppressor. Call a friend and have a good laugh or two , if not watch a comedy movie.

Get a Massage: When you are stressed out, your shoulders and neck muscles are among the first part of your body to get tight. When muscles are tensed for too long, their blood flow is reduced and they can’t breathe, which makes them sore. A Massage is so helpful; it works the tension out of your muscles, increase the range of motion and allows for blood to circulate more easily. A massage will make your feel relaxed.massage12

You can find ways to relieve your stress and tension. Find out what works for you. Relieving your stress will work wonders for your health.

If these ideas don’t work for you and you have read a book or two about stress and you still can’t get your stress levels under control your next step would be to seek relief by getting professional help.

Don’t delay.
